NASI PIA

Nasi Pia” means “Us Too” is a project design to make reusable sanity pads for women and girls with spinal cord injury (SCI) in Kilimanjaro

The society has a perception that women with spinal cord injury do not experience menstruation and this has led to their exclusion when it comes to issues of safe menstruation and sanitation .Songambele is in process to start making re-usable sanitary towels that will be provided to women with disabilities especially the ones in rural areas during home visits.
Menstrual health is a right to all women despite of disability or age
Staying home and practice social distance is very important to avoid COVID-19 but it can be very frustrated time because we are used to go out and do something together. This is time to learn new things and to practice what we have learned during group discussions.
Our women participated training on how to make reusable sanitary pads a month ago are putting the skills in use while at home by making reusable sanitary pads for other women and girls who are in rural areas.
Stay home, stay health by doing something useful for your community.

Donate now to help more women to put their skills in use!
