EMPOWERMENT THROUGH SELF DEFENSE (ESD), RWANDA.

ESD Global’s mission is to establish empowerment self-defense (ESD) training as a key violence prevention strategy to interrupt, respond to, and heal from interpersonal violence. They train community members and leaders to become empowerment self-defense instructors so that they can teach ESD in their communities. Instructors work within their social and cultural contexts to ensure that the training is appropriate for different settings.

We are proud to have our very own Ms. Tunu Waziri take part in the Empowerment self-defense training program which uses Self-defense techniques as a key to violence prevention for marginalized communities. In ESD every life is worth fighting for!!!
The training included learning how to interrupt violence by paying attention to intuition, assessing options in violent situations, setting boundaries, as well as physical responses through courses
combining safety strategies and physical techniques.
We are honored to have her as one of the Ambassadors of change in the area of violence prevention

Ms.Tunu Nawal with her ESD instructors.
